Tracy Eyssens has been a long standing partner of ItBC's for the last 17 years. She brings 20 years of experience working at Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada. She was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba with heritage from the Pinaymootang (Fairford) First Nation, and moved to Vancouver in 1995, which she now calls home.

Ms Eyssens has significant experience and awareness for partnerships and collaboration. With her many years of working with Aboriginal people, she was able to build effective partnerships to overcome the capacity gaps and unlock economic opportunities that have enabled the development of prosperous economies for Aboriginal people. She has worked with over 150 First Nations across BC, managed a budget of $40M and supported over 300 projects in First Nation communities ranging from cultural centers, infrastructure and business/industrial parks.

Her creativity and innovation has allowed her to push through boundaries and collaborate and partner on a number of initiatives and projects that have supported the economic prosperity of Indigenous communities and entrepreneurs. Working with a number of aboriginal organizations, federal/provincial partners along with private sector partners across the province, her vision for community economic development has allowed for the successful development of many diverse projects across BC.

Dana Schoahs has been contracted as ItBC's Director of Marketing.

Through her past employment with Blue Ice Communications, Dana's work with Indigenous tourism began with organizations such as Sasquatch Tours, the Tsimshian Nation and HaiCo. The growing relationship and expertise in marketing First Nations tourism businesses led to Blue Ice Communications being selected to develop the ItBC marketing program in 2004. Dana has played a key role in creating the program outline and has managed its implementation for a number of years.

With a passion and affinity for tourism, Dana draws on 17 years in marketing and sales to develop inspiring strategies and programs for tourism organizations. Beginning with her degree in Tourism Management, she has worked for several international airlines, high-end hotels, as well as major tour operators.

She has managed numerous sales, marketing, research and production projects at a variety of companies, including Canadian Airlines, Fairmont Hotels, Blue Ice Communications, SNV International, Tourism Squamish and Tourism Whistler.

Paula Amos is of Hesquiaht and Squamish Nation descent, born and raised in the Nuu-chah-nulth territory on Vancouver Island. She has worked for ItBC for the past 7 years and has held various positions with the organization.

Paula's career aspiration was to work in the socio-economic development for Indigenous people. Her education background includes a degree in First Nations Studies and Business Management at Vancouver Island University.

With ItBC, she works at bridging the opportunities between the Indigenous tourism industry and mainstream tourism. Paula works in partnership in all sectors of the tourism industry and believes that success comes through capacity building, teamwork, and building strong relationships with key industry players, Indigenous communities and government.

Paula sat on the steering committee for the Blueprint Strategy for Aboriginal tourism in British Columbia and the North American Indigenous Games Bid Committee. She was also involved with the 2010 Aboriginal Tourism Working Group, in partnership with the 2010 Bid Corporation. The continued development the of the Indigenous cultural tourism industry for Aboriginal people has not only economic development potential in the future but is also a driver for cultural pride.

Tale'awtxw Aboriginal Capital Corporation (TACC) was established in April 1992 by the Tale'awtxw Economic Development Association (TEDA) commissioners. The TEDA Commissioners were chosen from the 54 Coast Salish Nations and the UNN in order to form and govern TACC. It was Dennis Alphonse, one of the founding Directors from Cowichan who suggested the name the Tale'awtxw, which in Halq'emeylem means money house.
